I was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1972 — a place where my love for science and service began early. At just 17, I entered medical school at Cairo University, finishing my internship by age 25 and serving as a physician for the Navy Seals during my military service.
At 27, I took a leap of faith and moved to the United States. What followed was a path shaped by rigorous training, meaningful mentorship, and unwavering commitment: a research position at Mount Sinai in New York, psychiatric residency, a leadership role at Pinnacle Health System, and a fellowship in pain management at UPMC.
Since 2010, I’ve lived and practiced in The Woodlands, Texas. This community has become home — for my family and for the many patients I’ve been privileged to serve.
But the call to serve reaches further. I’ve spent over a decade on medical missions in Africa, bringing care to underserved populations and working side by side with teams shaped by compassion, resilience, and faith. I also serve with the National Charity Round Table alongside my son — an organization that instills values of giving and leadership in young boys.
For me, medicine is a divine calling. I believe every physician is entrusted with the care of God’s most vulnerable children. With each patient, each student, and each colleague, I strive to honor that trust — through honesty, humility, and service.
